I haven't been feeding Caleb solids on a regular schedule yet, mostly just when we have some quiet time together such as after a nice warm bath. I put him in his chair and we have some special time. I am happy to report he is taking to eating from a spoon very well. He LOVES solid food. Last night he was rather perturbed when I stopped feeding him and took him out of the chair. He wanted to eat the whole bowl. However I had to assert myself as his "mother who cares" and stop him because he is not used to the foreignness of foods yet. I don't want to make him sick so that he will not want to eat again. Tooth is still hiding under the gumline. Someday it will stop being bashful and come through. I know Caleb will be thrilled when that happens. So will the rest of us!
Today is Memorial Day and since the girls are getting older I have decided to take them to a Memorial Day Service at our local cemetary. Our family has suffered a lot of losses this last couple years and we are going to go pay our respects to our loved ones. Then Gabby will be going to the Equestrian Center to watch some Show-Jumping with Auntie, Rox and Gram and Maddy and I are going to go to lunch and shopping. The other children will spend time with Mike.
Grampa, Gramma, Grindad, Grandma and Grandad Spangler, Uncle Tom, Sr. Mary Catherine I am thinking of you all today and remembering the good times we had when you were still with us here on earth.
